Many of you may have received a visit in early July from a very motivated young lady who was walking through the neighborhood trying to drum up business for a pest control company.  Being relatively new here ourselves, we didn’t think anything of it – in Maryland, solicitors were a regular (and annoying) occurrence.  Then Lynn called to pass the word that we all need to remember that soliciting is prohibited by the deed restrictions of the community.  (Hooray!)  Yep, there is a sign to that effect at the entrance to the community.  So if someone should come to your door, please remind them that they are not permitted to solicit in the neighborhood, and send them (gently) on their way.  (What do I love about living in Kentucky?  Amongst other things, never getting telemarketing calls!!)
